If Tomorrow Is The End Of The World

We should be thinking of happy scenarios. Life is short. However, without the "dark side", we may not treasure the "bright side". Let us have a short imagination here. What if tomorrow is the end of the world?

Will you "still":

1) Continue to study stock market and individual business? (Where are the shooting stars and undervalued multi-baggers?!)

2) Report to work and continue your "lovely" job as a dutiful employee? (Please remember to apply leave for tomorrow event : "#End of the World!!!")

3) Get angry with your loved ones or other matters?

4) Play your games? Pokemon Go?

5) "Continue your own list here"

I am sure you have heard of "live your life as if it is the last day in this world". How to? Can we just throw everything aside and do the things you want for the last day of your life? Possible? What if I don't report to work and tomorrow didn't end?
Contrary, I think your life may just started because you lose your job! Congratulation, you no longer need to apply leave for your time. Actually, your boss could be "Missing in Action (MIA)" as well. Ironic? Please don't claim unemployment benefits from me.

This is not complete. We have to live our life as if it is the last but plan our life as if we live eternity. This sounds better.

Frankly, I hate the fact that I am still about 45 months away from complete Financial Independence. I am still stuck in the rat race. What if end of the world (at least my world) occurred before 1 August 2020 (My Financial Independence Day!)? The only thing I try to help myself is living my best life now with my family. I have been doing so everyday.

If tomorrow is the end of the world, what will you do?

  1. A big IF there. Because nobody can predict the future.

I am with you. I believe when I make the present moment, instead of past and future, the focal point of my life, my ability to enjoy what I do – and with it the quality of my life – increases dramatically.

    1. Hi Andy

It is simple theory but hardest to achieve. NOW. I think you blog about it before.

  2. Do we really need to bother what happens tomorrow or next week or next year?
Do we even need to think we are in the rat race? The important thing is to enjoy your current moment regardless of what you are doing? Isn't it?

  3. The irony is you can't really enjoy your present moments if you can't let go of "the next moments".
Don't have to be something bothering you for the morrow.

The thing is how to let go of everything except of what you are doing now.

You listening to music in the background while doing another task is so much different when you close your eyes and lies on your bed and listens to the music only.

After a while, you will most probably feel so relax that you will fall asleep.
Then you may wake up again by the music and then may fall asleep again.
It may happen a few cycles of this pattern until you decided to really sleep.
This is really one of the enjoying your moments with headphones before you go to sleep without any encumbrance of life.
Try it if you feel for music, you will be able to achieve it.

    1. I feel for music, it also arose my emotions which bothers me

    2. Nobody listens to music the exactly the same way.
i listen to any including Teochew, Cantonese, Hokkien operas.
It seems i have no "bias" against any songs or music.
It's only i like or dislike the song or music.

    3. And almost any piece of music or song i listen to i can relax. If i can not, i seldom will listen to that song or music again.
      That's it.

    4. Hi both

      Interesting conversation going on.

Music Therapy? I would think if we enjoy the present moment, it should be straightforward. Example, if we want to enjoy the music, we listen. If we want to sleep, we sleep. If we listen to music to sleep to destress or distract ourselves, maybe the root cause is something else serious need to be addressed? Start from self awareness?

    5. Actually i discovered this "music therapy" since quite young.
i remembered one time(during my youth) the radio or amplifier was cooked because i "overslept".
Those days technology were not so advance.

Some people can use music for meditation.
And actually what's the one main purpose of meditation?

  4. Don't you know the world end and start all over every second? So are you.

    1. Our body

"Red blood cells live for about four months, while white blood cells live on average more than a year. Skin cells live about two or three weeks. Colon cells have it rough: They die off after about four days. Sperm cells have a life span of only about three days, while brain cells typically last an entire lifetime (neurons in the cerebral cortex, for example, are not replaced when they die)."

Is it because of our brain cells when they die they are not replaced, that's why if we can live to 90 or 100 we becomes (childish again) senile if not dementia.
      i have witnessed it.

And what dies and lives every second?

    2. Hi Temperament

      Thumb up*

      Hi Unknown

      Mind to elaborate?

  5. "And what dies and lives every second?"

Every second, there are newborns delivered on to this world.

Every second, there are deaths as their candles have burnt out...

    1. Hi SMOL

How do you explain "so are you?" I don't end and start every second. Unless referring to my human clock. Every second counts?

  6. Hi FD,

The world will never end, it's probably the era or present age that can end.

If ur spirit is high, even till the end of the era, ur spirit is still the highest and the righteousness, peace and joy will still be with u and people around u who tend to also have the high spirit.

If u have low spirit and are so soulish (obsessed with urself or world conscious for ur own pleasure), even if TMR is not the end of the world, with all fruits ready for u to pluck, u still unable to harvest the fruits.

So the highest or enlightened form at present is to seek and have a spiritual wealth over material wealth (although still impt acc. my latest post).

  7. That's why no pokemon go for me :D
I realise enjoy a tea and read my book, but maybe pokemon go makes some people really happy? :D
